The 2016 Game Awards Stream Live Tomorrow!

The prestigious 2016 Game Awards ceremony will stream live tomorrow (December 1st) at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT. That’s 3pm on Friday 2nd December in New Zealand. It’ll stream on a number of platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Xbox Live and on the Playstation network.

Often described as the Oscars of the games industry, winners will receive their own trophy designed by WETA Workshop. The trophy is in the form of a stunning angel, souring towards the heavens, her wings outstretched behind her.

There are 18 jury selected awards including best narrative, best independent game, and the new category of best VR game. There’s also 6 fan choice awards such as Trending Gamer and Most Anticipated Game which you can vote for on Twitter. I’ll openly admit my bias but my guess for Most Anticipated Game is the hotly awaited Mass Effect: Andromeda!

In terms of number of nominations, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is blowing the competition away with a massive 8 nominations across 6 categories. That puts it in a good position for a Game of the Year win but it has tough competition in Doom, Overwatch, Battlefield 1, and Titanfall 2.uncharted-4-a-thiefs-end

In addition to the awards, we’ll also see debut gameplay footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Prey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Walking Dead: Season 3, which releases December 20th, just in time for Christmas.

Get your fan choice nominations in today and tune in tomorrow to see the winners!
